brandon: twelve days
to brandon,
oh little man, there are so many things about you at twelve days that would be a travesty if they were forgotten. i'm so lucky to have had the chance to meet you and capture all the little details. your peeling newborn skin, the tiny bubbles from your mouth, the fuzz on your back, your fine baby hair, your belly button with the cord recently fallen off, your little feet, your long fingers, your papery nails, your legs curled up to your belly. you are a beautiful boy. yes, i said it, beautiful. your features are delicate and yet masculine. when you were awake, your forehead crinkled as you stretched to see the camera. you saved your little smiles for the end. and you made the cutest newborn noises; the grunts and groans, the tiny whimpers.
special thanks to Mackenzie and Kurt for allowing me to photograph their son. he is a true gift.
