falling in love
i tend to be pretty hard on myself. right after sessions, i have a hard time picking my favorite images because i find flaws in many of them. it's not until a few weeks have gone by, usually while i'm editing to get the CD ready, that i can truly see the images for what they are. and then i fall in love. i find photographs i missed when looking at them the first time. usually in black and white because i'm a black and white girl at heart. so i thought i'd share this batch of ones that i fell in love with. there were also some very touching images of caroline's momma nursing her, but i will refrain from sharing those due to privacy reasons.

isla: thirty days
to isla,
you are quite the little beauty. you made us work at first, but you eventually gave in and fell asleep and i'm so happy you did! your round, full belly and your less than lady-like noises were endearing.
your mommy and daddy put so much love and work into getting your beautiful nursery ready for you. they both look at you as if you are the center of their world. and you are little one.
special thanks to kassia and mike for having me in their home and allowing me photograph their beautiful baby girl.

i recently volunteered to photograph pompano beach ocean rescue. my husband works there as a lifeguard and it was awesome to meet all the people he works with. they're a pretty fun group!
